Chapter Twenty One

Emory flexed her fingers, feeling the soft wetness as Holland gasped. Her eyes half-closed, seeing the outline of Holland's body astride her, watching as full breasts moved in time with their rhythm. Her breath caught in her throat as Holland's back arched and she felt muscle contractions around her fingers.

She held her position until Holland collapsed onto her, nuzzling into her chest. “What a way to wake up,” she grinned.

Holland grunted in reply, already halfway back to sleep, Emory suspected.

She had to admit that she'd been a little reluctant when Holland had suggested that she move a few of her things to the farmhouse.

“Not everything,” Holland had specified. “But a change of clothes or two. A toothbrush maybe?”

She'd thought that they were moving too fast, though she had nothing to compare this to, not really. A couple of weeks of falling in love and now she was spending nearly every night in Holland's bed.

Even she had to confess though that it was pretty nice not to have to go out into the winter freeze when it was still dark. And she definitely could agree that a few extra minutes with Holland's demanding body were more than worth it.

Holland had become demanding. Once the dam was broken, once she'd rediscovered her confidence, she had become a creative and exuberant partner. Enough so that sometimes it was Emory that had to call things quits, despite the age difference.

“Tell me you're not going out there,” Holland mumbled. “It sounds cold.”

“How does it sound cold?” Emory laughed.

“I don't know. It sounds quiet, numb, dampened. Like it's cold outside.”

There was certainly snow, Emory knew that much. “I've got to get out of here. I need to keep the practice open. If there's an emergency then that's where people will look for me.”

Not that there was like to be an over-abundance of patients, but still.

Holland grumbled again and Emory kissed the top of her head. In truth, she wouldn't mind spending the morning right here. Holland's hand started to slide up her leg and she felt a burst of warmth in her stomach.

“I'm getting in the shower,” she warned.

That did make Holland stir. Suddenly she was sitting up again, eyes aglow, and her hands were on Emory's shoulders.

“Are you?” she asked, voice throaty and hot. “Did you ask permission for that?”

A flash of desire ran all the way down Emory's spine and she knew she could stop this but her body was damned if it was about to let her brain make a decision like that. Silently, she shook her head.

“That's what I thought,” said Holland. “There'll be a ten minute penalty for disobedience.”

Her head bent and Emory felt a warm tongue-tip on her nipple and her breath became shaky. To hell with it. So she'd be late. So what?

The only problem now would be trying to last ten minutes...
